Hey there, lovely Igniters!!

Are you looking for some inspiration to add to your self-care routine? Well, you’re in for a treat because we’re about to embark on an exciting journey together! We’re expanding Cassie’s Corners to include the amazing people behind the scenes at MHFI, and we’re going to swap our daily self-care rituals!

That’s right – it’s time to share your own self-care acts and get inspired by others. Let’s come together as a community and support each other’s wellbeing. 

First up, we have Rae, our MHFI coordinator, who’s got the ultimate self-care routine that’s both fun and refreshing. First, she starts her day by cranking up the tunes in her car and belting out her favourite songs. And if you’re lucky enough to catch her in the office parking lot, you’ll see her taking five minutes to soak up the beauty of nature around her. Talk about a perfect way to start the day! By prioritising self-care in even the smallest moments, Rae is a true inspiration for all of us.

Meet Teresa, our amazing principal trainer, content developer, and consultant! She knows the importance of self-care, and that’s why she makes it a priority to hit the gym either at the start or end of her day. But her self-care routine doesn’t stop there.  She has a giant German Shepherd named Wolfie, who takes her on the most incredible walks through the bush and along the river. This furry friend of hers helps her disconnect from her busy mind and soak up the beauty of nature. Plus, playing dodge with other dogs is always a fun way to burn off some energy!  By taking the time to exercise and enjoy nature, Teresa is not only taking care of her physical health but also her mental wellbeing.   

Coming up next, we have a truly amazing human who goes by many names, including Lauren, Walli, or LL, whichever tickles your fancy! This wonderful facilitator is a dedicated hiker who loves to explore the great outdoors and is a huge Harry Potter fan. And when she needs to find her Zen, you can bet she’s headed to her own meditation space. But that’s not all—she’s also a high-five expert, always practising with her son on their favourite swing. And when it’s time to kick back and relax, she’s not afraid to take on a game or two of Fortnite with her partner. So let’s all follow in the footsteps of this self-care queen and find our own inner peace and balance.

Get ready to meet the tech wizard of MHFI – it’s Tis! As our software and IT mastermind, Tis keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. When he’s not busy creating content, writing code, or fixing our mishaps, you can catch him getting his sweat on at the gym or enjoying some well-deserved “me time.” Whether he’s lifting weights, exploring his limits, or unwinding with a podcast, Tis knows that taking care of his physical and mental health is key to tackling life’s challenges. At MHFI, we recognise the importance of self-care, and Tis is a shining example of how it can help us thrive.

Juggling the responsibilities of parenting an adorable toddler and dedicating herself to supporting our community’s mental health, Cassie understands the paramount importance of putting our own wellbeing first. Despite the chaos that often accompanies her busy schedule, Cassie has learned to appreciate the slower moments in life. When she’s not immersed in her nurturing role, you can find Cassie indulging in her passions for spending time with koalas, exploring art galleries, and even unwinding with a few video games. Join Cassie on her inspiring journey to find joy and balance amidst the beautiful chaos of life.
